Vitamina B3 en dos formas: niacina (acido nicotinico) y niacinamida. Esencial para metabolismo energetico, reparacion de ADN y funcion nerviosa. En dosis altas, la niacina reduce colesterol.
💡 La niacinamida no causa rubor pero tampoco reduce colesterol. La niacina causa rubor (flushing) que se reduce con el tiempo o tomandola con comida.
⚠️ Flushing (rubor) con niacina comun e inofensivo. Dosis >2g/dia pueden causar hepatotoxicidad. UL: 35mg para niacinamida en dieta, 2000mg en uso terapeutico.
