NAD+ Precursors (General)
Group of compounds that raise NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) levels, an essential coenzyme that declines ~50% between ages 40 and 60. Includes NMN, NR, and niacin.
💡 Absorption: NMN and NR are the direct precursors. Niacin (B3) also raises NAD+ but with less specificity. Combining with resveratrol potentiates the effect via sirtuins.
⚠️ Caution: See individual precautions for NMN and NR. The concept of raising NAD+ is well supported but optimal methods are still debated.
