Valerian
Root with sedative and anxiolytic properties. Modulates GABA receptors. Traditionally used for insomnia and anxiety. May take 2-4 weeks to be fully effective.
💡 Absorption: Extracts standardized to 0.8% valerenic acid. Take 30-60 min before bed. The unpleasant smell is normal.
⚠️ Caution: May cause daytime drowsiness. Do not combine with benzodiazepines, alcohol, or other sedatives. Taper gradually after prolonged use.
